Rikaze, officially known as Xigazê, is a prefecture-level city located in the Tibet Autonomous Region of the People's Republic of China. The city serves as a significant administrative and geographical center within the region.
The area of jurisdiction for Rikaze covers approximately 182,000 km² (70,271 sq mi), which corresponds to the historical Ü-Tsang region of Tibet. It is most notable for containing the Chinese half of Mount Everest.
