Qamdo, also known as Chamdo or Changdu, is a prefecture-level city located in the eastern part of the Tibet Autonomous Region in China. The administrative seat of the city is situated in the town of Chengguan within the Karuo District.
As a significant urban center in the region, Qamdo ranks as the third largest city in Tibet, following Lhasa and Shigatse.
