Doilungdêqên District is a district located in Lhasa, within the Tibet Autonomous Region of China. It is situated northwest of the city's main center, Chengguan, and encompasses the western suburbs of Lhasa. The landscape of the district is primarily characterized by agricultural and pastoral land.
The geography of the area is defined by the Duilong River, which flows southeast through the district toward the Lhasa River. Historically, the region contains a prehistoric site dating back approximately 3600 to 3000 years. The district is also home to significant religious landmarks, including the Tsurphu Monastery, established in 1189, and the Nechung Monastery, which dates back to the 17th century.
