Damxung is a county located in Lhasa City within the Tibet Autonomous Region of China. It is situated to the north of Chengguan, which serves as the main center of the city. The administrative seat for Damxung County is Damquka.
The region is characterized by rugged terrain, including the western Nyenchen Tanglha Mountains. The highest peak in this mountain range reaches an elevation of 7,111 metres (23,330 ft). As of 2013, the county had a population of approximately 40,000 people, with the majority of residents engaged in animal husbandry.
