Liugong Island is a small island situated on the northeastern edge of the Shandong Peninsula in China. It is located at the mouth of Weihai Bay.
The island holds significant historical importance as the recognized birthplace of China's first modern navy. Additionally, it is notable as the site where Chinese forces suffered a defeat during the First Sino-Japanese War.
