Barkol Kazakh Autonomous County is a prefecture-level administrative division located in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region of China. It falls under the jurisdiction of Hami Prefecture and covers a total land area of 38,445.3 square kilometers (approximately 14,843.8 square miles).
The county is situated along the northern border with Mongolia. Geographically, it is bounded by Yizhou District to the south, Yiwu County to the east, and Mori Kazakh Autonomous County in Changji to the west.
