Artush is a county-level city located in the Xinjiang region of China. It serves as the capital of the Kizilsu Kyrgyz Autonomous Prefecture. The seat of the local government is situated within the Guangming Road Subdistrict.
As of 2018, Artush has a recorded population of 285,507 residents. The city is characterized by its demographic composition, with Uyghurs making up approximately 81.4 percent of the total population.
