Xiaogan is a prefecture-level city located in the east-central region of Hubei province, China. It is situated approximately 60 kilometres (37 miles) northwest of Wuhan, which serves as the provincial capital.
According to the 2020 census, the city has a total population of 4,270,371 residents. Of this population, 988,479 people reside within the built-up area of the Xiaonan District.
