Xiantao is a sub-prefecture-level city located in the eastern part of Hubei province, China. Situated on the Jianghan Plain in the middle of the province, the city covers a total area of 2,538 km² (980 sq mi) and spans the coordinates of 112°55' – 113°49' east longitude and 30°04' – 30°32' north latitude.
The city is notable as the hometown of several prominent figures, including author Chi Li and entrepreneur Lei Jun.
