Taipingxi Town is a town situated in the Yiling District of the Yichang Prefecture-level city in Hubei Province, China. It is geographically positioned on the left (northern) side of the Yangtze River.
The town is notably located near the northern end of the Three Gorges Dam, one of the world's largest hydroelectric power stations. Its proximity to this major infrastructure landmark defines its geographical significance within the region.
