Puqi

China

Puqi is a former name for Chibi, a county-level city located in southeastern Hubei province, China. The city is situated between Wuhan to the north and Yueyang to the south, and it falls under the administration of the Xianning prefecture-level city.

The location was officially renamed from Puqi to Chibi on June 11, 1998, following approval by the State Council. This change was made because the area is identified as the site of the famous Battle of Chibi, which occurred during the winter of 208/9 CE.
