Nanping

Nanping is a third-tier prefecture-level city located in northwestern Fujian Province, China. It shares borders with Ningde to the east, Sanming to the south, and the provinces of Zhejiang and Jiangxi to the north and west.

The region is home to part of the well-known Wuyi Mountains range. As of the 2020 census, the city had a population of 2,680,645, with 795,448 residents living within the urban districts of Yanping and Jianyang. The permanent population is projected to be approximately 2.623 million between late 2024 and early 2025.
