Yongzhou

Yongzhou is a prefecture-level city located in the southern region of Hunan province, People's Republic of China. It is situated on the southern bank of the Xiang River, which is formed by the confluence of the Xiao and Xiang Rivers. The city borders Guangdong to the southeast and Guangxi to the southwest.

With a history spanning 2,000 years, Yongzhou is recognized as one of the four ancient counties in Hunan. As of the 2022 Chinese census, the city had a total population of 5,143,700, with 1,146,692 residents living within its two urban districts. The city covers a total area of 22,255.31 square kilometres.
