Wuxi is a city located in the southern Jiangsu province of China. Situated in the southern Yangtze delta, the city borders Lake Tai and has a population of approximately 7,495,000 as of 2024.
The city features several notable landmarks, including Lihu Park, Xihui Park, Wuxi Zoo, and the Wuxi Museum. It is also home to the Mt. Lingshan Grand Buddha Scenic Area, which contains an 88-meter (289 ft) tall Grand Buddha statue at Ling Shan. Additionally, Wuxi is the location of Jiangnan University.
Transportation infrastructure in the city includes the Wuxi Shuofang Airport and the Wuxi Metro system. The area is served by major rail links, specifically the Shanghai–Nanjing intercity high-speed railway and the Beijing–Shanghai high-speed railway.
