Wenxing

Wenxing Subdistrict is a subdistrict and the county seat of Xiangyin County, located in Hunan Province, China. It is situated in the west-central region of Xiangyin County and covers an area of 208.43 square kilometers (approximately 80.48 square miles). The administrative seat of the subdistrict is Xieping Village.

The current boundaries of Wenxing Subdistrict were established on November 20, 2015, through the amalgamation of Bainihu Township, Changkang Town, Shitang Township, the former Wenxing Town, and Yuanjiapu Town. Following a further reorganization of village-level divisions in 2016, the subdistrict is composed of 23 villages and 27 communities with a total population of 223,000.

Geographically, the area is bordered by Miluo City to the west, Jinlong Town and Yuhua Township to the south, Helonghu Town and Jinghe Township to the west, and Santang Town to the north.
