Pingtang County is a county located in the Qiannan Buyei and Miao Autonomous Prefecture of Guizhou province, China. It shares a southern border with the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.
The region is characterized by its high mountain valley geography. The local population is primarily composed of members of the Buyei and Miao ethnic minorities, who together account for 55% of the county's inhabitants.
