Hengyang is a city located in China and serves as the second largest city within Hunan Province. It is situated along the Xiang River, positioned approximately 160 kilometers (99 miles) south of the provincial capital, Changsha.
According to the 2020 Chinese census, the city has a total population of 6,645,243 inhabitants. Of this population, 1,290,715 residents live within the built-up area, which comprises four urban districts; notably, Nanyue District is not yet conurbated.
