Dukou, now known as Panzhihua, is a prefecture-level city situated in the southern region of Sichuan province, China. It is geographically positioned at the confluence of the Jinsha and Yalong Rivers.
The city covers an administrative area of 7,423.42 square kilometres (2,866.20 sq mi). According to the 2020 census, the population was 1,212,203, with 806,395 residents living within three urban districts.
