Chenzhou is a prefecture-level city located in the southern region of Hunan province, China. It shares borders with Jiangxi province to the east and Guangdong province to the south.
The administrative area of Chenzhou covers 19,317 square kilometres, which accounts for approximately 9.2% of the total provincial area. According to the 2010 census, the city had a population of 4,581,779 residents, with 74% living in rural areas and 26% residing in urban centers.
