Pingshu, also referred to as pinghua or colloquially as shuoshu, is a traditional form of Chinese performing art. This art form consists of storytelling performed without any musical accompaniment.
The terminology used for this practice varies by region within China. It is more commonly known as pingshu in northern China and referred to as pinghua in southern China.
