Jiangshan is a county-level city situated in the Quzhou prefecture-level city within the southwest region of Zhejiang Province, China. It borders the province of Jiangxi to the west and is located approximately 250 kilometers southwest of Hangzhou, which serves as the provincial capital.

As the only county-level city in Quzhou, Jiangshan has a population that was recorded at 563,196 in 1999. The city's name is derived from its geography: "Jiang" refers to river and "Shan" refers to mountain. This nomenclature reflects the local landscape, which features a river running through the city and the scenic Mt. Jianglang situated on its border.
