Zhaoge

China

Zhaoge is a historical city located in modern-day Qi County, Hebi, Henan province, China. It served as an important political center during ancient Chinese history, notably functioning as the capital of the State of Wey during the Western Zhou period.

According to traditional histories, Zhaoge was also the final capital of the Shang dynasty, housing the last three kings from the reign of King Geng Ding or Wu Yi. Furthermore, historical records from the 3rd century by Du Yu identify Zhaoge as the site of the "ruins of Yin" mentioned in the Zuo Zhuan.
