Yancheng

Yancheng is a prefecture-level city located in the eastern coastal region of Jiangsu province, China. Formerly known as Yandu, the current city was officially founded on January 18, 1983. It holds the distinction of being the city with the largest jurisdictional area within Jiangsu province.

The city is situated along the coast, bordering the Yellow Sea to the east. Its geographic boundaries are further defined by neighboring regions, including Lianyungang to the north, Huai'an to the west, Yangzhou and Taizhou to the southwest, and Nantong to the south.
