Pingdingshan, also known as Eagle City, is a prefecture-level city located in central Henan province, China. It serves as a significant administrative and residential hub within the region.
According to the 2010 census, the city had a total population of 4,904,701 inhabitants. Of this population, 1,756,333 resided in the built-up area, which includes the conurbated region of Ye county.
