Jiaozuo is a prefecture-level city located in the northwestern region of Henan province, China. It is situated on the northern bank of the Yellow River and serves as a regional central city along the border between the provinces of Shanxi and Henan.
The city borders several other major locations, including the provincial capital of Zhengzhou to the south, Xinxiang to the east, Jiyuan to the west, and Luoyang to the southwest. Jiaozuo is recognized as one of the core cities within the Central Plains urban agglomeration.
