Chunshui (Spring Water) refers to a collection of poetry written by the Chinese author Bing Xin. It was published in May 1923 when she was nineteen years old, following her earlier work, A Maze of Stars (Fanxing). These collections were directly inspired by Rabindranath Tagore's 1916 work, Stray Birds.
The works are regarded as representative examples of the short poetry genre that emerged in China following the May Fourth Movement and the New Literature movement. Bing Xin is considered a cultural representative of this genre, with her specific style frequently referenced in literary contexts as "Chunshui style." Her poetry explores themes including nature, youth, abstract concepts of love and emotion, as well as social and political perspectives.
