Suihua is a prefecture-level city located in the west-central region of Heilongjiang province in the People's Republic of China. It is situated near several major regional centers, including Harbin to the south, Daqing to the west, Qiqihar to the northwest, Heihe to the north, and Yichun to the east.
According to the 2020 census, the city had a population of 3,756,167 inhabitants. Of this total, 698,025 residents lived within the built-up area of the Beilin District. Projections indicate that by the end of 2024, the resident population of Suihua will be approximately 3.461 million.
