Muling is a county-level city located in the southeastern region of Heilongjiang province, China. It falls under the jurisdiction of Mudanjiang and serves as a border territory, situated along the eastern boundary with Russia's Primorsky Krai.
The city covers an area of approximately 6,094 square kilometres (2,353 sq mi). As of 2004, Muling had a recorded population of 330,000 residents.
