Jiamusi is a prefecture-level city located in the eastern region of Heilongjiang province, China. It is situated along the middle and lower reaches of the Songhua River and shares a border with Russia's Khabarovsk Krai across the Ussuri River and the Heilongjiang.
As of the 2020 census, Jiamusi had a population of 2,156,505, with 862,555 residents living within its four urban districts. By the end of 2024, the total registered population was recorded at 2.213 million, reflecting an urbanization rate of 51.7%. In 2018, the city reported a GDP of RMB 101.2 billion with a growth rate of 4.3%.
