According to historical fiction, their presence served as a pivotal element leading to the Battle of Chibi, one of the most significant conflicts of the pre-Three Kingdoms period.
The sisters are central to the narrative involving the Chancellor of the Eastern Han dynasty, Cao Cao, whose interest in them is referenced in his son's poem, "Ode to the Bronze Sparrow Platform." This interest was a primary motivation for Zhou Yu of Jiangdong to initiate war against Cao Cao.
