Shuangyang District is one of seven districts located within the prefecture-level city of Changchun. It serves as a part of the southeastern suburbs of Changchun, which is the capital of China's Jilin Province in Northeast China.
Despite its name, the district is situated more than 40 kilometres (25 mi) southeast of the urban center. It shares borders with the districts of Erdao to the north and Nanguan to the northwest, while bordering the prefecture-level cities of Jilin to the south and east, and Siping to the southwest.
