Ninghua is a county located within the prefecture-level city of Sanming in western Fujian province, China. It shares a western border with Jiangxi province.
The region is historically significant as the starting point of the Long March, a massive military campaign undertaken by the Red Army of the Chinese Communist Party in 1934. Additionally, the town of Shibi within Ninghua is recognized as the cradle of the Hakka people.
