Changchun

Changchun is the capital and largest city of Jilin Province in China. Located on the Songliao Plain, it is administered as a sub-provincial city that encompasses seven districts, one county, and three county-level cities.

As of the 2020 census, the city had a population of 9,066,906. Its metro area, which includes five districts and one development area, has a population of 5,019,477. While Shuangyang and Jiutai districts remain non-urbanized, Changchun is recognized as one of the largest cities in Northeast China alongside Shenyang, Dalian, and Harbin.
