Madoi County is a county located in southeast-central Qinghai Province, China. It falls within the Golog Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture and shares a southern border with Sichuan province.
The region covers an area of approximately 25,000 km² (9,700 sq mi). With an average elevation of 4,300 m (14,000 ft), it is recognized as the highest county in China by average elevation. The geography of Madoi County includes the upper stream of the Yellow River, which flows toward Ngoring and Gyaring lakes.
