Taonan is a county-level city located in the northwestern region of Jilin province in Northeast China. Formerly known as Tao'an County, it currently functions as an administrative division with a population of approximately 100,000 residents.
The city falls under the jurisdiction and administration of the Baicheng prefecture-level city. It serves as a local urban center within the rural landscape of the Jilin region.
