Meihekou is a city located in the Jilin region of the People's Republic of China. It has a population of approximately 600,000 residents and serves as the northernmost county-level division of the prefecture-level city of Tonghua.
The city functions as a significant regional transport hub, providing connections to three single-track railway lines and two national highways. It is notably recognized as a major lorry transshipment point in the region due to its position at the junction of two trunk roads that connect to Liaoyuan in the northwest.
