Changchun

Changchun is the capital and largest city of Jilin Province, located on the Songliao Plain in Northeast China. It is administered as a sub-provincial city that encompasses seven districts, one county, and three county-level cities. As of the 2020 census, the city had a population of 9,066,906.

The city is recognized as one of the largest urban centers in Northeast China, alongside Shenyang, Dalian, and Harbin. While it serves as a major regional hub, certain areas such as the Shuangyang and Jiutai districts are currently not urbanized. The metropolitan area specifically comprises five districts and one development area with a population of 5,019,477.
