Yuetang District is one of two urban districts located in Xiangtan City, Hunan Province, China. It covers an area of 206.4 km² (79.7 sq mi) and is situated in the eastern region of the city proper along the northeastern shoreside of the Xiang River.
The district is bordered by several neighboring areas: Tianxin and Yuhua Districts of Changsha City to the north, Shifeng and Tianyuan Districts of Zhuzhou City to the east, Xiangtan County to the south, and Hetang District to the west. As of 2015, Yuetang District had a registered population of 350,300 and a resident population of 467,800.
The administrative structure of the district includes 14 subdistricts and one town. The government seat for Yuetang District is located in the Bantang Subdistrict.
