Yangzhou is a prefecture-level city located in central Jiangsu Province in East China. It is situated on the north bank of the Yangtze River and serves as a significant regional hub bordering several other major cities.
The city borders Nanjing to the southwest, Huai'an to the north, Yancheng to the northeast, and Taizhou to the east, with Zhenjiang located across the river to the south. According to the 2020 census, Yangzhou has a total population of 4,559,797, with an urban area housing 2,635,435 inhabitants distributed across three districts.
