Xingtai

Xingtai is a prefecture-level city located in southern Hebei province, China. Formerly known as Xingzhou or Shunde, the city covers a total area of 12,486 km² (4,821 sq mi). It serves as an administrative center for four districts, two county-level cities, and 12 counties.

The city borders Shijiazhuang and Hengshui to the north, Handan to the south, and the provinces of Shandong and Shanxi to the east and west, respectively. According to census data, the resident population was approximately 7.1 million in 2020, with projections for late 2024 estimating a total resident population of 6,877,800, including an urban population of 3,921,700.
