Tongli, also referred to as Tong-Li, is a town located in the Wujiang district on the outskirts of Suzhou in Jiangsu province, China. It is recognized for preserving the architectural and cultural characteristics of an ancient Wu provincial town.
The location is notably characterized by its extensive system of canals. Due to these waterways and its historical layout, Tongli has earned the nickname "Venice of the East."
