Taji is a district located in the far north of the Baghdad Governorate in central Iraq. It was established as a distinct district on January 22, 2020, having previously functioned as a subdistrict of the Kadhimiya District.
The district covers an area of 207 square kilometres and is composed of seven administrative divisions. As of 2022, Taji had a recorded population of 190,297 residents.
