Shouxian

Shouxian, also known as Shou County, is a county located in the north-central region of Anhui Province, China. It sits on the southern bank of the Huai River and serves as the southernmost county-level division of the prefecture-level city of Huainan. The jurisdiction of Shouxian was officially transferred from Lu'an to Huainan on December 3, 2015.

The county covers an area of 2,986 square kilometers (1,153 square miles) and has a population of approximately 1,280,000 residents. It is designated as a National Cultural and Historical City.
