Mudu is a town located in the Wuzhong District of Suzhou, Jiangsu Province, China. It is situated approximately 1.5 hours by car from downtown Suzhou.
The town is noted for its historical significance, specifically during the Qing dynasty when the Qianlong Emperor visited the area six times while traveling across the country. In contemporary times, Mudu has become a frequent filming location for television series, leading to the development of local businesses that provide costumes and photography services for visitors.
Mudu features a street similar to the famous Shantang Street in Suzhou. Walking along this street leads toward Linyan Mountain, which is a primary destination for those visiting the town.
