Jiangyan District is one of the three urban districts located within the city of Taizhou in Jiangsu province, China. The area previously held the status of a county-level city until it was reorganized in December 2012.
The district is notably recognized as the birthplace of Hu Jintao, who served as the former General Secretary of the Chinese Communist Party.
