Hougang

Hougang, also known by its archaic spelling Aukang, is a planning area and mature residential town situated in the North-East Region of Singapore. It serves as one of the primary residential hubs within the country's urban landscape.

The Hougang planning area is characterized as the largest housing estate in Singapore when measured by land area. As of 2018, it was home to a population of 247,528 residents. The town is bordered by several other districts, including Sengkang to the north, Geylang to the south, Bedok to the southeast, Toa Payoh to the southwest, Serangoon to the west, and Paya Lebar to the east.
