Changle is one of the six urban districts of Fuzhou, which serves as the capital of Fujian Province in China. It covers a land area of 648 square kilometers and a sea area of 1,327 square kilometers. The district faces the East China Sea and is connected to the Mawei district by the Min River.
The history of Changle dates back to the sixth year of Emperor Wude during the Tang dynasty, when it served as a capital for the succeeding Min Kingdom. It was officially designated as a county-level city on February 18, 1994, before being upgraded to a district in August 2017 following a government proposal.
