Chai Wan, formerly known as Sai Wan (西灣), is a district located at the east end of the urban area of Hong Kong Island. It sits adjacent to Shau Kei Wan and is administratively categorized as part of the Eastern District.
The area is characterized by a mosaic of industrial and residential zones. According to data from 2001, the population of Chai Wan was 186,505.
