Zhuji is a county-level city located in north-central Zhejiang province, China. It falls under the administration of the prefecture-level city of Shaoxing and is situated approximately 64 kilometres (40 miles) south of Hangzhou.
The city covers a total area of 2,311 square kilometres (892 square miles). According to the 2020 census, Zhuji has a population of 1,218,072 inhabitants, though the actual built-up area of the city is significantly smaller than its total land area.
