Xitang is a historic water town located in Jiashan County, Zhejiang Province, China. Formerly known by various names including Xietang, Pingtang, and Xutang, the town covers an area of 83.61 square kilometres and had a population of 57,400 as of the 2016 census.
The town is characterized by its extensive network of nine rivers and eight distinct sections linked by old-fashioned stone bridges. In the older districts, buildings are situated along canal banks, which function as the primary transportation thoroughfares for the area.
